Digital Millennium Copyright Act Compliance

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) was designed to protect sites that aggregate content (think of YouTube here).  The DCMA allows owners of copyrighted work to file a takedown notice to an ISP if they feel their work is being infringed.  The DMCA also limits the liability of websites if one of their users posts material that constitutes copyright infringement.  Companies should have Compliance Policies in place to make sure the comply with this ever changing area of law.

Antoine Law Group, APC can advise you how to stay compliant with DCMA regulations, protect your intellectual property online, and identify third party copyright infringement.  We can also discern if your business is the victim of a fraudulent takedown notice, and guide you through steps to rectify it properly under DCMA guidelines.
